I didn’t know that being an author would change my life

Two years ago, I became a published author, but I never dreamed that it would be my career. My whole life, I was fixated with books and had story ideas, but I didn’t think becoming an author was within reach. But when my husband asked me one day, “What’s something you’ve always wanted to do?” it was the push I needed to start learning the industry. I dove in head-first, researching like crazy. My husband would even text me helpful YouTube videos and articles whenever he found them. It was a lot of work, but I was determined and excited. I didn’t think I’d make money with my books - I just wanted to get them out there to help teachers and children. But I quickly learned that there was a need for what I was writing, even during the pandemic. People turned to books more than ever before, both for the classrooms and at home. My success spiraled in ways I never could have imagined and before I knew it, I was writing full-time and making more than I did as a teacher. I’ve been able to spend more time with my family with far less stress. And that is absolutely priceless.

GINGERNAP SNATCHER Book Tour Giveaway

My Review:

I thought Gingersnap Snatcher was a charming story set during the Holiday. It is, also, my first introduction to author Vicky Weber’s books. I read it along with my young children and we enjoyed reading this delightful tale. It is in rhyming form that made it even more entertaining to read. We were left guessing who snatched the gingerbread cookies that their abuela made. We were surprised as to who the culprit was and where the kids found the cookies. We were laughing throughout the book while they went all over the place trying to solve the mystery and laughed even harder how it all ended. It was so cute.

Gingersnap Snatcher is illustrated by the talented artist Svitlana Liuta. Their pictures perfectly go with the story and a great addition to the book. I loved seeing the looks on the children’s faces as they try to solve the mystery of the snatcher.

Gingersnap Snatcher is getting a very well deserved five plus stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of three and eight years of age and for families that are looking for a fun story to add to their Christmas time reading. My family and I will be looking for other books by Vicky Weber to see where else her imagination will take us to next.

I received a soft cover copy of Gingersnap Snatcher from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
