Review: All in for Christmas by Ginny Baird

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

NYT bestselling author Ginny Baird delivers her signature charm in this cozy and festive alternate reality rom-com about the road not taken and the messy joy different choices can bring.

One woman, two lives—but did she choose the right one?

Practical-minded Paige Pierce has her life in order. She’s got a job she loves, teaching English, and is launching a new “Paws and Read” literacy program for struggling students at her school. Despite her dismal dating record, Paige rarely thinks about her old college boyfriend, Dean Burton. Then dreamy Dean surprises her at her school’s faculty holiday party, upending her world. When she learns Dean’s been hired as their replacement physics teacher, Paige can’t help getting stars in her eyes and wondering what her life might have been like if they’d never said goodbye.

With a rare comet passing overhead and the aid of a mysterious holiday market vendor, the universe grants Paige a chance to find out… The next morning, she wakes up in an alternate reality, greeted by Dean’s sunny optimism, their two kids, and a dog. Suddenly in way over her head with myriad household chores, a precocious little girl and a toddler boy who’s—yikes—potty training, Paige is desperate to scramble her way back home. Until her heart starts melting under the mistletoe, due to Dean’s swoony kisses and the cute shenanigans of their sweet kids and loyal pup, and she finds herself questioning where her home is truly meant to be. Yet the enchantment that’s brought her here won’t last forever.

With the clock ticking on Christmas magic, can the past be undone?

It is always fun to kick off my holiday reading with her books, and her newest, All in for Christmas, is no exception. I loved getting to know the main characters, Paige and Dean. They had wonderful chemistry together and their interactions made me laugh out loud all throughout. Purely magical.

All in for Christmas is just what I would expect from this author and am giving it five stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read romantic comedies. As always, I will be on the lookout from Ginny Baird in the future.

Review: The Holiday Mix Up by Ginny Baird

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

While You Were Sleeping meets The Wedding Date with a fun Puerto Rican holiday twist in NYT and USA Today bestselling author Ginny Baird's latest romance, in which a diner waitress agrees to be her patron's fake date...only for him to land in a coma and her to be stuck playing his sweetheart with his family all week long.

Lonely-hearted waitress Katie Smith has nowhere to go for Christmas, and a huge crush on her gorgeous diner patron Juan Martinez. So when Juan asks Katie to pose as his girlfriend for holiday festivities at his family's winery, Katie leaps at the chance…that is, until an accident lands Juan in a coma right after giving his folks the "news." Katie knows she should tell the Martinezes the truth, but when they immediately embrace her, Katie is reluctant to let her fantasy of a family holiday go. And then there's Juan's brother, Mateo, whose smile tugs at her heartstrings just right—and who tells her perfect Juan might not be everything he seems.

Second son Mateo Martinez loves his brother, but Juan's plan to "rebrand and expand" Los Cielos Cellars has cost their family too much and put its entire tradition in jeopardy. Katie seems to understand, but she's still committed to Juan…even when Mateo starts to wish her gentle heart and beautiful smile were committed to him instead. With the winery at stake, secrets on all sides, and Juan due to wake up any day, can Katie and Mateo follow their hearts to a Christmas miracle, or will this mix-up ruin their chances?

My Review:

The Holiday Mix Up gives me another reason why Ginny Baird is one of my go to authors when it comes to fun and entertaining romance novels. This one is no different. I found myself giggling throughout this story. It was a delight to read scenes between Katie and Mateo. I adored the Christmas time setting. The story was one that warmed my heart from start to finish. Overall, a sweet and wholesome story. I loved it.

The Holiday Mix Up will be getting a well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading romantic comedies. As always, I will be looking forward to reading more upcoming releases from Ginny Baird.

Review: Second Bride Down by Ginny Baird

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

Aspiring artist Misty Delaney is not about to let her parents’ beloved café go under. Not when she can just merge the company by entering a quick marriage of convenience with the rich son of their family’s rival. But her sisters aren’t having it. They all made a deal: they each get one month to find true love. She can’t just fold. To make sure Misty gives finding love a chance, they post a “Marry me: Misty!” billboard outside town. Surely that’ll give her options?

Watching Misty field marriage proposals from strangers, that she clearly doesn’t want, is a big cup of
nope for café manager Lucas Reyes. He and Misty have been friends for years, but it’s time he step up and make his romantic feelings for her known. And what better way to start than by sending her unwanted suitors packing with an announcement that she’s already in a relationship. With him.

Lucas’s little stunt buys an extremely grateful Misty one week to come up with a solution that saves the café and keeps her sisters happy. A week during which she and Lucas need to act like they’re in love. Except, between late-night stargazing, crashed mopeds, and dancing in the rain, their pretend romance feels almost…perfect. But it’s one thing to start falling. It’s another entirely to turn one week into forever…

My Review:

I adored the first book from Ginny Baird’s Majestic Maine series, First Bride to Fall, and was excited to read book two, Second Bride Down. I enjoyed this one so much more. I found it to be fun and entertaining with sprinkles of humor all throughout. I loved Misty and Lucas so much. Their story was a pure delight.

I am giving Second Bride Down a very well deserved five plus stars. Fans of clean romantic fiction with lots of laughs will definitely want to pick this one up. I will be eagerly waiting for the next installment from the Majestic Maine series.

I received a digital copy of Second Bride Down from the author, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Review: First Bride to Fall by Ginny Baird

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

Nell Delaney will do almost anything for her parents and her two sisters. But enter a marriage of convenience to save the family’s coffee shop? Too far. So Nell and her sisters strike a deal: whoever hasn’t found love in thirty days has to step up to take one for the team. The good news? Nell knows the perfect guy to fall in love with. The bad news? She’s going to have to pretend she likes the outdoors…a lot.

Adventure guide Grant Williams knows immediately that Nell is not exactly Little Miss Outdoorsy. She’s a walking natural disaster—an amazingly adorable disaster. And whoa, their chemistry is unbelievable. Everything between them is so perfect, he’s not even a little bit shocked when he starts thinking of forever…

Right up until he catches the town gossiping about the Delaney sisters’ bargain and realizes she’s just using him to win a bet. Unfortunately, his family’s unreliable reputation means he can’t just dump one of the town’s sweethearts. No, she needs to dump him. If she’s going to pretend to be the perfect doting bride, well, he’ll just pretend to be the worst bachelor on the market.

Let the games begin…

My Review:

I have been a fan of Ginny Baird’s books for years now. When I had the opportunity to read her newest release, First Bride to Fall, I jumped at the chance. I was not disappointed. It is the start to her new series, Majestic Maine. I found the interactions between Grand and Nell were a pure delight and I was constantly laughing out loud at different scenes. I loved every single page and had to read the whole book in one sitting. It was a perfect way to spend during a cold, rainy day.

First Bride to Fall will be getting five stars from me. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean and entertaining romantic fiction. As always, I will be looking for more books by Ginny Baird in the future, as well as, the second book from her Majestic Maine series, Second Bride Down.

I received a digital copy of First Bride to Fall from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
