Blog Tour: Lake Season by Denise Hunter

About the Book

Book: Lake Season
Author: Denise Hunter
Genre:  Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 12, 2019

A lost letter, a new love, and old secrets beckon this summer at the Bluebell Inn.

When their parents die in a tragic accident, Molly Bennett and her siblings pull together to fulfill their parents’ dream: turning their historic Bluebell, North Carolina home back into an inn. The situation would just be temporary—three years at the most—then they would sell the inn and Molly could get back to chasing her own dreams.

Adam Bradford (aka bestselling author Nathanial Grey) is a reclusive novelist with a bad case of writer’s block. Desperate for inspiration as his deadline approaches, he travels to the setting of his next book, a North Carolina lake town. There he immediately meets his muse, a young innkeeper who fancies herself in love with his alter ego.

Molly and Adam strike up an instant friendship. When Molly finds a long-lost letter in the walls of her inn she embarks on a mission with Adam to find the star-crossed lovers and bring them the closure they deserve. But Adam has secrets of his own. Past and present collide as truths are revealed, and Molly and Adam will have to decide if love is worth trusting.

My Review
Lake Season begins Denise Hunter’s newest series, Bluebell Inn Romance. Readers are introduced to the Bennett sisters. After the death of their parents, the girls decide to honor them by making their home into an inn. While needing inspiration for his new writing in progress, bestselling author, Adam goes on a retreat in the Bennett’s inn. He soon finds himself trying to solve old mystery with the oldest Bennett sister, Molly.
I enjoyed Lake Season. I honestly was not sure about it at first really. I did not care too much for Molly. She quickly grew on me. By the quarter of the way through the story, I was hooked and could not put it down until I read to the end. I had it read in one day.
I am giving Lake Season four and a half stars. I can not wait to see what happens next in the Bluebell Inn Romance series.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

Review: On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter

On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Blurb:

Falling in love with Daisy was easy for Jack. But finding the courage to tell her becomes problematic when his secret feelings lead to even bigger complications.

After two years of counseling sessions with Daisy Pendleton, Pastor Jack McReady has earned a permanent spot in her life as a spiritual leader—and nothing more. Jack would never risk losing her trust by exposing the depths of his heart, but he’s hopelessly in love with her

Daisy loves her southern small-town life and her job at her family-run flower shop, but she doesn’t have the thing she longs for most: someone to share it with. Her recent foray into online dating has been a disaster—until she meets TJ.

Jack could kill his friend Noah for using his initials and some indistinct photos to set up a profile on the dating app Daisy is using. But when he’s finally afforded the opportunity to show her a different side of himself, he’s sucked into the plan before he has time for second thoughts.

Online, Daisy shares some of her greatest fears with TJ, but in person, Jack and Daisy are spending more time together. When a devastating family secret surfaces, Daisy knows that only her trusted friend and counselor can bring her comfort. Jack wants nothing more than to be both men for Daisy, but revealing his secret will prove to be the ultimate test of Daisy’s grace.

My Review:

On Magnolia Lane, book three from Denise Hunter's Blue Ridge Romance series. I enjoyed this sweet story. Pastor Jack McReady and Daisy Pendleton teaches the reader so many powerful lessons. Including: love, faith, grace and forgiveness.

I give On Magnolia Lane four and a half stars. I recommend this clean, sweet, inspiring and romantic read. As well as, the other books from the series. I am sad to see the end of the Blue Ridge Romance series.

Review: Blue Ridge Sunrise (Blue Ridge Romance #1) by Denise Hunter

Blurb (from Amazon):

Former free spirit Zoe Collins swore she’d never again set foot in Copper Creek or speak to the man who broke her heart. But return she must when her beloved granny dies, leaving the family legacy to Zoe—a peach orchard nestled at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

When Zoe returns home with her daughter and boyfriend Kyle, she finds that she’s the only person in town who doesn’t expect her to give up the life she’s established far away from Copper Creek. Everyone believes she was born to run the orchard, but how can she make it her home after so many years?

Cruz Huntley never quite got over his first love Zoe Collins, the little sister of his best friend Brady. Not when she cheated on him during their “break,” not when she took off to parts unknown with good-for-nothing Kyle Jenkins, and not even now—five years later.

As life-changing decisions and a history with Cruz hang over Zoe’s head, tensions rise between her and Kyle. Even as she comes to terms with the shifting relationships in her life, Zoe still isn’t sure if she can remain in Copper Creek with her new responsibilities . . . and her first love.

My Review:

Blue Ridge Sunrise is the first book from Denise Hunter's whole new series, Blue Ridge Romance. I read this book in one sitting. I loved it so much, I did not want to put it down. I felt an instant connection to Zoe. I knew what she was going through - the heartache, past secrets and regrets. This is a wonderful story of forgiveness, letting go, and moving on, while in a beautiful setting.

I most definitely believe this is a must read and highly recommend it.

5 plus stars.

Review: Sweetbriar Cottage by Denise Hunter

Sweetbriar Cottage is an emotional read. Noah and Josephine find out their divorce was never finalized and the two are still married. Josephine shows up at the ranch where Noah is working to deliver the final papers needed for the divorce to actually happen. The two are stuck together when they are stranded at his cottage during a snowstorm. This forces them to talk about what went wrong during their marriage. Josephine finally tells Noah of her painful past. Will this be enough for Noah to change his mind about the divorce?

Sweetbriar Cottage is a perfect reminder why I love Denise Hunter's writing. She really knows how to talk to the reader's heart. At first, I was not sure how I felt about Josephine. Once her past was revealed, I had a better understanding of who she really was, and I then felt a connection to her. That is when I realized, I really wanted Noah and her to forgive one another and save their marriage before it was too late.

A beautiful story of how to heal from a painful past and learning forgiveness. I would highly recommend this book and give it 5+ stars.
