THE PRYCE OF CONCEIT Book Tour Giveaway

My Review:

I have had the pleasure of reading previous books written by Kari Bovée in the past and was excited to know that she has a new series releasing called The Pryce of Murder. I was honored to have the chance to read the first book, The Pryce of Conceit: An Historical Ghost Cozy Mystery. I thought it was a fun and entertaining read. I found the main character of the newly widowed, Arabella Pryce, to be a wonderful character getting to know. I felt like I had travelled back in time to the 1880s era of the state of Colorado. That is where Arabella's world is turned upside down. The mystery and suspense had some twists I did not see coming. There were a few scenes that had me laughing out loud. I was honored to take this adventure with Arabella and going along with her to see how the "who done it" would be solved.

I am giving The Pryce of Conceit: An Historical Ghost Cozy Mystery five plus stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy the combination of the genres of Historical Fiction, Paranormal, and Cozy Mysteries. I am eagerly awaiting or the next installment from The Pryce of Murder to see where Kari Bovée takes the series to next.

I received a paperback copy of The Pryce of Conceit: An Historical Ghost Cozy Mystery from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

My Review:

I have had the pleasure of reading the previous books from Kari Bovee’s series, Grace Michelle Mysteries. I was excited to have an opportunity to read the third installment, Grace Among Thieves. Even though this is a series, I believe readers can still read each one as a stand alone. However, they will not want to miss any of the books. This one is probably my new favorite. I thought it was a great little mystery to read. It was not easily predictable that kept continuously intrigued. There were a few twists and turns that I did not see coming. I had to keep reading to find how it would all unfold. The author does a nice job weaving a suspenseful tale for Grace. I love going back in time with her to the 1920s, that was fun and entertaining. There was danger, history, adventure and action that I love reading. This was a great way to spend a couple of cold evenings by the fireplace.

I am giving Grace Among Thieves a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading historical suspense and cozy mysteries. I am hoping there will be more to come from the Grace Michelle Mysteries series. I always look forward to see what kinds of mysteries Kari Bovee comes up with next.

I received a paperback copy of Grace Among Thieves from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

My Review:

Grace in Hollywood is the second installment from Kari Bovee’s Grace Michelle Mysteries series. Even though I have not yet read the first book, Grace in the Wings, I feel that this can be read as a stand alone. I have really enjoyed other books by this author, and this one does not disappoint. Readers will be taken to 1924 Hollywood, California, as Grace Michelle gets promoted to become the lead costume designer for a film that is full of A list celebrities. However, things go quickly down hill for her. Unexpected twists that makes one of the teenagers she is in charge of, Lizzy, a prime murder suspect. Grace finds herself in the middle of an investigate to help prove the girl’s innocence. I was hooked with this mystery right from the start and did not want to put the book down until I found out how it would all end. It is most definitely a must read and not to be missed. I am so glad I have the opportunity to read it.

I am giving Grace in Hollywood a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading historical fiction that a suspense filled them. I hope there will be more to come from Kari Bovee’s Grace Michell Mysteries series in the near future. While I wait, I will be reading Grace in the Wings in the very near future.

GRACE AMONG THIEVES (Grace Michelle Mysteries) Tour Giveaway

My Review:

I have had the pleasure of reading other books from the talented author, Kari Bovee. I was excited to have the opportunity to read her first installment from her Grace Michelle Mysteries series, Grace in the Wings. I thought it was an entertaining read. I was transported back in time to the 1920s in New Year City and met Grace Michelle. In the first few pages, I was quickly fascinated with her and the life she has led so far. Everything falls apart for her suddenly when she is thrown in the mystery of what happened to her sister. She finds herself, also, in danger. I had to keep reading to find out how the murder would be solved and what adventures would lie ahead for Grace. The plot was a little predictable at times but there were other times that had some twists I did not see coming. I could not put the book down until I had read the very last page. I thought it was great.

Grace in the Wings will be getting four and a half stars from me. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading historical mysteries. I am looking forward to reading the next book Grace Michelle Mysteries series, Grace in Hollywood, to catch up and what happens next for Grace Michelle.

I received a digital copy of Grace in the Wings from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

My Review:

Folly at the Fair is the third installment from Kari Bovee’s series, An Annie Oakley Mystery series. I have not had the pleasure of reading the prequel and first two books, Shoot Like a Girl, Girl with a Gun and Peccadillo at the Palace. Since I have not read those books, I believe they can each be read as a stand alone. I did not feel as though I was missing anything or feel lost by reading those. However, I would love to find out what had happened previously.

Folly at the Fair was a fun and entertaining read. It had just about everything I love to read in a book. History, Mystery, and Suspense. It was interesting how the author was able to bring Annie Oakley to life. It was great to see her vision of how Annie was like in those days. I was fascinated and captivated with her and her story from the start and did not want to put it down until I read the very last page. I did not find that it was predictable and I never knew what was going to happen next until I read the following page. Such a fun read.

I am giving Folly at the Fair a very well deserved five plus stars. I would love to read more from An Annie Oakley Mystery series in the near future. I thought this one was great. I highly recommend this to readers who enjoy a historical mystery and those that include historical figures.

I received a digital copy of Folly at the Fair from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
