My Review:

Behind Her Smile: The Adventures of a Tall Girl from WVA and Her Life as a Stewardess is an interesting read by Beverly Golden Cuevas. It was great meeting Janie, reading about her upcoming, seeing her determination for a new life and her adventures as a flight attendant. I was entertained to see where her profession took her and who came across along the day. I mean, how cool is it that a West Virginian girl becomes friends with THE King of Rock and Roll himself, Elvis Presley. I felt a connection with Janie as she described her struggles in finding her own way, finding out who she really was, and finding the place where she truly fit in in this world. The book is full of variety of emotions, I would be smiling and laughing one minute and teary eyed the next. I thought it was a great book to read that offers the reader some important lessons to learn from. I loved it and really enjoyed reading it.

I am giving Behind Her Smile: The Adventures of a Tall Girl from WVA and Her Life as a Stewardess five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading biographies, autobiographies, and memoirs.

I received a paperback copy of Beverly Golden Cuevas’ Behind Her Smile: The Adventures of a Tall Girl from WVA and Her Life as a Stewardess from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

  1. Amy, I was pleased that you originally referred to me as Janie. I did not want to change my name when I moved to Columbus, OH. Yes, I too, thought it was "cool" that a gal with my background had the opportunity to befriend "The King". (Even though he really didn't like to be referred to that way.) So thankful that you described my book as "a great book" and that you loved it. 5 STARS PLUS! WOW! Thank you so much Amy!
