Blog Tour and Giveaway: Change Has Changed by Sam Chand

About the Book

Book: Change Has Changed

Author: Sam Chand

Genre: BUSINESS & ECONOMICS /Leadership

Release date: October 19, 2021

The Greek philosopher Heraclitus said change is the only constant in life.

But the world has experienced so much upheaval since January 2020 that change itself has changed! In business, the church, and nonprofits, leaders are being left in the dust as events and challenges speed by in a blur. The pace of change was accelerating before…but the pandemic pressed the pedal to the floor.

“We’re at an inflection point,” says leadership architect and change strategist Sam Chand. “The way things were isn’t the way things will be.”

In his new book Change Has Changed, Sam sets out to help leaders understand the evolving nature of change so that they can guide their organizations with wisdom and confidence.

He examines three major shifts that he likens to three simultaneous earthquakes:

  • Our environment has changed. People are working from home, many businesses may never reopen, and the way we shop, handle health needs, and even go to church has changed.
  • We have changed. We’ve learned to live with rampant uncertainty and a raft full of nagging fears—but our bodies and our souls weren’t meant for this!
  • The people around us have changed. They are frustrated, isolated, depressed, anxious, and angry. They just don’t feel safe.

Sam tackles these and related issues head-on by offering lessons that will empower leaders to be ready for the next normal.

“We used to talk about a new normal as if it’s the end point of change,” Sam explains, “but if we’ve learned anything in the past months, it’s that change is perpetual, and we need to anticipate the next one on the horizon.”

My Review

Change Has Changed: Time for a Strategic Reset is an interesting book that takes a look at how times have changed since the outbreak of Covid 19. It is broken down into nine chapters:
Never the Same Again
Three Massive Shifts
The Pace of Change
People of Change
The Process of Change
Programs of Change
Proclamation for Change
Preparation for Change
Personal Care in Changing Times

It gives some good insight on how to adapt to the new world that we know it. It was interesting to read.

I am giving Change Has Changed: Time for a Strategic Reset three stars. I believe readers who want to know how to evolve around this ever changing world, will want to read this one.

I received a digital copy of Change Has Changed: Time for a Strategic Reset from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Category Adult Fiction (18 +), 358 pages
Genre: Mystery/Thriller
Publisher PePe Press
Release dates:   February 2021
Content Rating: PG-13: Lots of cursing, some non-graphic sex and violence

 Book Description:

You’re where you’re meant to be. Run, if you can.

High school senior Jenny Gallagher’s psychic abilities have made life in her small New England town rocky. Her premonitions and déjà vu have given her a reputation, one she’s not happy with. Tragedy is about to strike, however, and oddly, this time, she doesn’t see it coming. Is her gift betraying her?

Not far from Jenny, Wellesley Professor Maximus Dyer also has a gift—a painful and useless one. His ability to see the past has brought him insight into history, but otherwise, he’s never known what to make of it. The psychic shocks he receives through his unprotected hands have made any genuine human relationships beyond his grasp. Then someone who doesn’t trigger a vision enters his life—a dog?

Sidrah Keeling runs determinedly optimistic throughout her life, trying hard not to ask the big questions about why. Her foresight, her ability to see glimpses of the future in her dreams, often drives her to follow a path she doesn’t understand. Alert and listening, with the guardrails of security she’s erected in place, she’s forced again to follow her dreams. This time to a man. Who is he?

Lurking deep in his sensory deprivation tank, Turner Black sees it all. Born out of the great chaos of time, he once again feels the forces of good gathering to move against him. Not in this life. This time, his darkness will reign supreme. The hunt for his antithesis will begin again now. He can’t wait to feel his opponent in destiny bleed.

A fast-paced contemporary mystery thriller with a supernatural hierarchy, Dead Cat, Run will keep you up all night, glued to your seat.

My Review:

Dead Cat, Run is my first introduction to the talents of author, Annabelle Lewis. Even though this is not my normal go to type of read, I thought this was a great read. I enjoyed getting to know the characters of Jenny, Max and Sidrah, but Bones the Dog would have to be my favorite. Who does not love to have a story that has a dog as one of its characters? This is one of those stories that starts right off the bat with action and adventure. It is an easy to read tale that had me captivated right from the start. I thought it was fun and entertaining that held my attention all the way to the end. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen next. I found it to be not easily predictable at all and I was hooked on the suspense and mystery.

I am giving Dead Cat, Run four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading genres of thrillers, suspense, paranormal and supernatural. I would love to read more like this by Annabelle Lewis in the future and see where her imagination will take her readers to next. This is most definitely worth a read and should not be missed. I liked it!

I received a digital copy of Dead Cat, Run from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Action! Humor! Fantasy! This new series opener is a tour de force from international bestseller Jonathan Stroud.

Scarlett McCain is an outlaw, a bank robber and a sharp shooter--a girl of formidable skills. Fueled by a tragic injustice in her past, she travels the broken kingdoms of England alone, carrying out daring heists in the surviving towns and fending off monstrous beasts in the wilds outside their fortified walls. Her life is dangerous, free, and simple--until she finds a wrecked bus on a lonely road. Albert Browne, the sole survivor of the accident, is a seemingly innocent and harmless youth. Against her better judgement, Scarlett agrees to escort him to safety.

This is a mistake. They are soon pursued by men with dogs and guns and explosives. Scarlett is used to running from the law, but these trackers are the most skilled she's ever encountered--and they don't seem to be after her. Just who is this Albert Browne Scarlett must uncover his shocking secrets if either of them are going to survive.

Praise For THE OUTLAWS SCARLETT AND BROWNE:

“The vivid setting, rapid-fire dialogue, and nonstop action will propel readers through this raucous, rousing rumble.” —Kirkus Reviews, starred review

“Thrills and wisecrackery run neck and neck as Stroud establishes a sturdy cast of characters and lays the foundation of a post-apocalyptic . . . setting where adventure fantasy thrives. Add the razor-sharp banter that delights readers of the Bartimaeus series, and you can lay the smart money on another Stroud winner.”—The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books, starred review

“Fuelled by black humour, this action-packed odyssey grips from the first page.” —The Daily Mail

“Gunslinging action and pitch-black humour meets post-apocalyptic thrill ride in this brilliant new departure for the author of the Lockwood & Co. series.” —The Guardian

“Wanted: a sequel—as fast as you can pull a pistol.” —The Times (London)

“Jonathan Stroud is an exceptional world-builder. A smart and audacious first volume of a new series.”—The Sunday Times

“It’s bold, funny and original.” —The Week Junior

“Stroud’s talent for creating astonishing yet utterly believable literary worlds is well known—and this is another triumph. Starring a pair of charismatic anti-heroes, intensely cinematic action and laced with characteristically dry wit.” —The Bookseller

“Stroud’s writing is a treat; brilliantly crafted world building, taut action scenes, fabulous villains and witty dialogue. A wild ride indeed, and the first in a series.” —The Observer (The New Review)

“This is bleedin’ brilliant from start to finish.” —SFX Magazine

“Stroud is a genius.” —Rick Riordan, bestselling author of the Trials of Apollo

My Review:

The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne is the beginning of the series of the same name by Jonathan Stroud. I thought it was a fun and entertaining read. It was full of adventure, action and mystery. It was fast paced and easy to read. My twelve year old daughter, also, read this book and thought it was great. It is not easy to predict and kept us fascinated from start to finish.

I am giving The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who are between the ages of nine and thirteen years of age and enjoy reading fantasy reads. I look forward to reading the next installment from The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne series.

I received a hard cover copy of The Outlaws Scarlett and Browne from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
