My Review

I enjoyed reading the first two books from J Taylor's The After series, The After and Survival. I wanted to find out what could happen next with Charlotte and Ann. I was honored to have the chance to read the third installment, The Invasion. Since this is part of a series, it would be best to read the series in order. I was excited to jump right in with Charlotte and Anna doing all they can to protect their homeland. I find that they are good role models for young girls. I admired their strength, courage, and bravery. I felt like I was part of their journey as they are faced with danger, adventure, suspense, and action. I wanted to see what would become of the two and thought they made a great team. I found this tale to be full of hope, friendship, entertainment, and determination. A fabulous way to get away from the chaos of current events.

I am going to give The Invasion a very well deserved five plus stars. I believe that fans and lovers of clean Middle Grade / Young Adult / Dystopian Fiction will not want to miss out on reading this one. I would love to read more from J Taylor in the future to see what else she has in store for her fans and readers.

Growing up in Germany, horses were always part of her life. After getting her Master degree in Religious Studies and German Literature, adventure was calling and she traveled to Alberta. She fell in love with the wild beauty of the Rocky Mountains and immigrated from Germany to Canada in 2005.

Here she worked the first years as a guide for horseback vacations, exploring mountain trails and spending the summer months in tent camps in the wilderness.

Inspired by her adventures and connections to ranchers, cowboys and First Nation communities, she started writing her books. Natascha lives on her ranch in Alberta with her horses and dogs.

My Review: 

After reading the first three books from the Rocky Mountain series by Natascha Birovljev, Shadow Horses of the Rocky Mountains, Shadow Crow of the Rocky Mountains, and Shadow Grizzly of the Rocky Mountains, I was excited to read the fourth installment, Shadow Wolf of the Rocky Mountains. I was most definitely not disappointed. This one is by far my favorite of the series. Since it is part of a series, I believe it would flow better if the books are read in order. However, each can be read as a stand alone. I loved taking a journey back to Willow Ranch and meeting up with Rosie, Cody and Woodwind. I love that has some lessons to be learned while reading this wonderful story. These lessons include: finding yourself, having hope and redemption, and how to be courageous. It was a joy to take the opportunity to be on this journey and seeing the beauty and magic of the surrounding community. 

I am giving Shadow Wolf of the Rocky Mountains a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading books that are full of mystique and adventure. I am hoping there will be more to come from Natascha Birovljev’s Rocky Mountain series. She has earned herself a new fan of her books.

My Review: 

I have had the pleasure of reading the previous two books from the Rocky Mountain series by Natascha Birovljev, Shadow Horses of the Rocky Mountains and Shadow Crow of the Rocky Mountains. It was excited to have the opportunity to read the third installment of the series, Shadow Grizzly of the Rocky Mountains. Even though this is part of series but can be read as a stand alone. However, I believe it would be best for readers to read the books in order to have a better reading experience. It was great travelling back to the Willow Ranch and catching up with Lee and his family. The plot is an exciting one and I love the vivid details of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It felt as though I was part of the tale and wanted to keep reading. There was adventure, danger, and romance within the pages. I was far from being disappointed with this addition from the Rocky Mountain series.

I am giving Shadow Grizzly of the Rocky Mountains five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading Adventurous fiction. I can not wait to get my hands on the fourth installment from Natascha Birovljev’s Rocky Mountain series, Shadow Wolf of the Rocky Mountains. I am so ready to find out what awaits the characters ahead.
