My Review

Path to Grace is the fifth installment from The Redemption of Green Pines series. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series and I was disappointed with this one. Even though it is part of a series, it can easily be read as a stand alone. I loved meeting Matt and Ariana. I found their beautiful story that teaches some valuable life lessons of faith, forgiveness, trust and grace.  I loved every single page. 

I am giving Path to Grace a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read clean, inspiring, and heartwarming women’s fiction. I would love to read more from Cheri Swalwell in the future.

The Redemption of Green Pines is a series about community. We first meet Wynn and her friends in Journey Back Home when they attended youth group. While Pastor Jace and Holly remain a constant presence throughout all six books, Road to Freedom takes us deeper into the lives of four friends – Wynn, Addie, Zane and Owen, who graduated from youth group and began working for Holly’s catering business. They also babysit the Cooper kids from time to time and have become part of the family.

Since the beginning when we were introduced to Wynn, she carried around a secret she wouldn’t share with anyone, not even her best friend. Road to Freedom is Wynn’s journey of truly discovering who she is as a Daughter of the King, and learning how good it feels to live in freedom instead of burdened by other’s choices.

My Review

Road to Freedom is the fourth installment from Cheri Swalwell’s series, The Redemption of Green Pines. Even though it is part of a series, I feel as though it can be read as a stand alone. I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed this story of faith and inspiration. It is one that can be relatable for many readers.

I am giving Road to Freedom four and a half stars. I would be interested in reading the first book from The Redemption of Green Pines series, Adventure's Invitation, to see what happened previously. I recommend this one for readers who enjoy a well written faith filled story. I thought this one should not be missed and definitely worth a read.

Journey Back Home, Book 2 in The Redemption of Green Pines, was supposed to be a stand alone book. When I finished writing it, I realized there was so much more to the community of Green Pines, and also so much more to Holly. Who was Holly? Why was she able to help Jace through his grief? What brought her to Green Pines?

As a result, I wrote a prequel to Journey Back Home, sharing with readers Holly’s story which became Book 1, Adventure’s Invitation. That book shares the backstory of Holly and her family and I highly recommend reading it. It will make Trail to Forgiveness, Book 3 in The Redemption of Green Pines, that much more meaningful when you get to spend more time with Holly’s family!

Trail to Forgiveness picks up literally two hours after Journey Back Home ends. God unfolded the storyline as I was writing it. While Jace and Holly are busy dealing with false rumors and a church that wants to fire him, Noah and his friends are dealing with members of the youth group who are out to get them too. Thankfully, though, Officer Dave, now a new believer, sticks around and helps Jace and Paul uncover what’s happening. It’s not what you think … but worse!

Also in Trail to Forgiveness, we get to discover more about the foursome who works for Holly, former youth group members of Jace: Addie, her best friend Wynn, Zane and his sidekick Owen. Not only are there secrets circulating in the youth group, but Wynn has some strong secrets of her own.

Pre-order Book 4, Road to Freedom, to discover what secrets Wynn’s been hiding from Holly, her mentor, as well as her friends. Is Zane hiding something from Wynn also?

There is so much more to discover about the community of Green Pines. I hope you enjoy getting to know them as much as I do!

My Review

Trail to Forgiveness the third installment from Cheri Swalwell’s series, The Redemption of Green Pines. I enjoyed the second book, Journey Back Home, and was happy to have the opportunity to read this one. It does not disappoint. I thought it was a fabulous read. The characters are relatable and so many readers would be able to connect with. I love the inspiring message with the power of forgiveness. 

Trail to Forgiveness will be getting a very well deserved five plus stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading faith filled and inspirational fiction. I look forward to the next book from The Redemption of Green Pines series, Road to Freedom, to see what happens next.

Journey Back Home was the first novel I ever wrote. The way God downloaded it into my heart was by sharing Simone’s side of the story first. Her journey is shared in the book through a series of diary entries. So I basically wrote the middle of the book first, then the ending, and then went back and wrote the beginning. It was definitely God who tied it all together so nicely.

When I finished writing Journey Back Home, it sat in my computer folders for six years. During that time God took fiction away from me, and gave me the platform of nonfiction. Two years ago, He lovingly gave me fiction back and I pulled it out, dusted it off, and started getting it ready to publish.

However, I realized it wasn’t a standalone book anymore. It was a community, a tight-knit group of people who had much more they wanted to share with readers. And I knew I needed to start with Holly’s story. Adventure’s Invitation, Book 1 of The Redemption of Green Pines, tells Holly’s background which is an integral part of Journey Back Home.

I hope you fall in love with Jace, Simone, their four children, and of course Holly as much as I have. If so, get ready because there are many more people to grow to love in all six books of The Redemption of Green Pines series.

My Review

Journey Back Home is the second installment from Cheri Swalwell's The Redemption of Green Pines series. It is, also, my first introduction to this author and it will not be the last. Even though it is part of a series, I feel as though it can be read as a stand alone. I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed this story of faith and inspiration.
