Blog Tour and Giveaway: Book, Chapter, and Vows by Chautona Havig and Christa DelSorbo

About the Book

Book:
Book, Chapter, & Vows

Author: Chautona Havig

Narrator: Christa DelSorbo

Genre: Christian Women’s Fiction

Release date: September, 2022

Falling in love with Benjamin wasn’t in the plan, but Mallory finds she’s all but lost her head and her heart after two and a half years of banter, memories, and now shared books.

But when her ex-fiance (does it count if it was just for a few hours?) shows up right in the middle of a writing project with Benjamin, the guy manages to ruin her happiness… again.

Benjamin has been keeping one tiny part of him back from Mallory–just the one thing that’ll repel her for good.
So when the ex-boyfriend-slash-fiance shows up, and things look serious again, he takes a giant step back and prays he can keep his heart intact in the process.

They’re clearly meant for each other. God obviously has a plan. So what’s it going to take for Mallory and Benjamin to work things out and get those vows made?

This Breakers Head novel is Chautona Havig’s final book in the Independence Islands Series featuring five islands, six authors, and a boatload of happily-ever-afters.

The Independence Islands Series: beach reads aren’t just for summer anymore.

My Review

Book, Chapter, & Vows is Chautona Havig’s contribution for the Breakers Head part from the Independence Islands series. It is just what I would expect from this author. She knows how to write sweet and true to life stories that keeps me engaged. This one is no different. I enjoyed Mallory and Benjamin’s tale. I loved getting to know them and had to keep reading until I have read the very last page.

The Last Gasp is narrated by Christa DelSorbo. Her performance on bringing this tale to life is superb. She made it so easy to continue to keep listening and she did a wonderful job. Her voice is a perfect addition to the book.

I am giving Book, Chapter, & Vows four and a half stars. Readers who enjoy reading quick, sweet, and clean romantic fiction will want to snatch this one up. I look forward to reading the next installment from the Breakers Head series, Melissa Wardwell’s Delicious Devotion.

I received a digital copy of Book, Chapter, & Vows from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

My Review

Chautona Havig once again uses her talent and contributes to the sixth installment from the Ever After Mysteries series. The Nutcracker's Suite is yet another great mystery by her. This one is my favorite of the series to date. It was entertaining to be taken back to the 1920s Rockland and fun that it was based off of The Nutcracker. I was hooked from the start with Nicolo and Clara’s story. I had to keep reading to find out how it was all going to end. I loved it!

The Nutcracker's Suite is narrated by Christa DelSorbo. Her performance on bringing this tale to life is superb. She made it so easy to continue to keep listening and she did a wonderful job.

The Nutcracker’s Suite is getting five stars from me. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical suspense. I am looking forward to the next book from the Ever After Mysteries series, Denise Barela’s Silencing the Siren.

I received a digital copy of The Nutcracker's Suite from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Blog Tour and Giveaway: Night Songs by Jennifer Sienes and Christa DelSorbo

About the Book

Book:
Night Songs

Author: Jennifer Sienes

Narrator: Christa DelSorbo

Genre: Christian Women’s Fiction

Release date: June, 2022

What’s a girl to do when her life sounds ripped from the lyrics of a country music song?

Charlotte Van Cleave’s hissy-fit reaction to her husband’s infidelity sours her world like a pot of boiled chitlins. She’s left with no husband, no job, and no home—well, besides the dilapidated farmhouse inherited from her nana.

But Charlie learned early that southern girls dig deep when things go sideways. She’d climbed out of the mire when her missionary parents were killed in Congo, endured two late-term miscarriages, and survived the death of her nana and papaw. Too poor to paint and too proud to whitewash, Charlie follows a new path with her interior design skills.

Derek Daniels spent his life serving his country until a helicopter accident ended his military career. Now back home on the family farm, he’s stuck between his philandering brother, Nicky, and the only girl he’s ever loved—sweet Charlie Van Cleave. Unwilling to cross a line, he vows to keep his feelings to himself. Easier said than done when Charlie discovers a mystery surrounding her parents’ death and asks him to help investigate.

What’ll Charlie and Derek have to do to turn those lyrics into a country hit?

My Review

Night Songs is the first book from Jennifer Sienes’ The Bedford County series. She has woven a fabulous tale that I adored reading. I loved reading Charlie and Derek’s story. Charlie is a character that I was quickly able to connect with, understood her struggles, and her world crashing all around her. I was interested in how the mystery she was involved in and seeing how it would all end. I could not put it down until I read it all in one sitting.

Night Songs is narrated by Christa DelSorbo. Her performance on bringing this tale to life is superb. She made it so easy to continue to keep listening and she did a wonderful job.

I am giving Night Songs a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean romance. I will be looking forward for the release of the next installment from The Bedford County series.

Author: Denise L. Barela

Narrator: Christa DelSorbo

Genre: Christian Women’s Fiction

Release date: May, 2022

Andrew Grayson thought he had everything… until he met her.

The indulged son of wealthy parents, Andrew has always gotten whatever he wanted almost before he knew he wanted it—clothes, gadgets… even a car! What more could a young man desire?

Enter Annabel Thompson. Freakshow mermaid extraordinaire… in a wheelchair!

Of course, her beauty attracts him. How could it not? Add to that a kind heart, and Andrew can’t help but fall for her.

Annabel’s connection with the freakshow repels his parents and their society friends. They want him to sever all ties with her and his new friends. Oh, and marry the “right” girl with the “right connections.” But he won’t do it. He’ll defy them and marry his little mermaid.

When Annabel turns up missing, declared dead, things don’t add up, Andrew begins asking some difficult questions, the most important being, “What happened to the little mermaid of the Coney Island freak show?”

Find out in this next book in the Ever After Mysteries, combining beloved fairy tales and mysteries. Silencing the Siren offers a retelling of “The Little Mermaid” that will keep you gripped to the edge of your seat as you watch the story unfold.

My Review

Silencing the Siren is the exciting debut for newest addition to the writer world, Denise L Barela. It is, also, the seventh installment from the series, Ever After Mysteries. She does not disappoint and her gift shines through in this 1920s style of the retelling of the classic The Little Mermaid tale. I greatly enjoyed this story with Annabel and Andrew. It is one that I could put down and among my favorites of the series I have read to date.

I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of Silencing the Siren. Christa DelSorbo’s performance on bringing this tale to life is superb. She made it so easy to continue to keep listening and she did a wonderful job.

I am giving Silencing the Siren a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean historical suspense fiction. I will be looking for more by this talented author, Denise L Barela, as well as, the next book from the Ever After Mysteries, Liz Tolsma’s Slashed Canvas.

I received a digital copy of Silencing the Siren from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
