About the Author

Judy DuCharme is a crazy Packer fan and would rather be walking near the water than at any shopping mall. She is smarter than a fifth grader, having taught them for 22 years, specializing in fun, hands-on, basic science. In case anyone wondered, the cutest grandson in the world belongs to her. And he’s smart, too. Judy descended from the family that founded the first Mennonite/Amish congregation in this country in the mid-1700s. So, with such a heritage, she loves the Lord, loves to worship, and loves to teach Bible studies

My Review

Run With the Wind is a wonderful story set during the Christmas Holiday season by Judy DuCharme. I loved Linney and Cyrus interact with each other and enjoyed the chemistry between the two. I thought the lessons learned were powerful for so many of us to learn from or to be reminded of. They have to see what forgiveness can lead to and how taking second chances can bring greater things. 

I am giving Run With the Wind four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading sweet and clean romantic fiction set during the most magical time of the year. I will definitely be looking out for more by Judy DuCharme in the future.

Judy DuCharme grew up with Lake Huron next to her back yard and has always loved the water. She, her husband, daughter, and son moved to Door County in 1984. After teaching 5th Grade at Gibraltar School for 22 years, Judy followed the calling that tugged at her all her life to write. Blood Moon Redemption is her 6^th or 8 published books and she is the recipient of numerous awards. She also writes for Guideposts Magazine. If you visit Door County, you may find her hiking in the woods, jet skiing on the bay, worshipping at her church, teaching a Bible study, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, playing with her amazing grandson, or sitting outside enjoying the beauty around her.

My Review

Blood Moon Redemption by Judy DuCharme is a little bit different than what I am used to. It is not my favorite genre to read but it gives me a reason to try something new. I thought it was mostly a good read. It was confusing at times, but once I was able to catch on as to what was going on, I wanted to find out what was going to happen next. I liked the faith element of it and that kept me interested.

I am giving Blood Moon Redemption three and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy clean mystery and suspense with an end of the world plot. I would be interested in reading more books by Judy DuCharme in the future.

Door County, where I live, is the destination of 3 million people in the summer and fall. Lainey of the Door Islands, my seventh published book, is the culmination of my desire to write a book about this wonderful area where I live. Tourists and residents alike love all things Door County, past and present. One day as I traveled on the ferry between Washington Island and the mainland of Door County and gazed out at tiny Pilot Island, I said again to myself, ‘I need to write a book about Door County’. I don’t recall if it was that day, the next, or two days later, but the story dropped into my spirit. I sat down at my computer and wrote well into the second chapter in one sitting. I said to my husband, “I’m writing and I can’t stop.”

My Review

Lainey of the Door Islands is the first book I have read by Judy DuCharme. I thought it was a good read. I adored being transported back in to meet Lainey and the beautiful setting in Door County, Wisconsin. It was full of history, adventure, faith and romance. I loved it when Lainey met Clifford. They were fun together and there were few times that made me have a much needed giggle. I enjoyed watching Lainey grow throughout the book and had no problem reading the whole book in one sitting.

I am giving Lainey of the Door Islands four stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy clean, sweet, and inspirational historical romance. I, also, believe young teen history lovers would enjoy this one, as well. I would love to read more by Judy DuCharme in the future.
