About the Author

Award-winning, bestselling author Sami Abrams grew up hating to read. It wasn’t until her 30’s that she found authors that captured her attention. Now, most evenings, you can find her engrossed in a Romantic Suspense. In her opinion, a crime and a little romance is the recipe for a great story.

She lives in Northern California, but she will always be a Kansas girl at heart. She has a love of sports, family, and travel. However, a cabin at Lake Tahoe writing her next story is definitely at the top of her list.

While coming up with the idea for Kyle and Cassidy’s story, Killer Christmas Evidence, I loved the idea of a serial killer that no one knew about. Someone who killed in different places and in different ways to avoid detection. Kim Rossmo’s theory on Geographic Profiling was intriguing, and I wanted to implement that concept. But, as I started to write, I realized the idea was too big for a Love Inspired Suspense length book, so I had to adjust the story a bit to fit the situation. The basics are there, just not the details I had hoped for.

 

However, when I sat down to write and I got to know Kyle and Cassidy a little better, I realized the story wasn’t about the stealth serial killer, but about learning to let go of guilt and learning to forgive. How many times in our lives due to being hurt or the pain of loss do we assume we know the truth? Yet, if we listened—really listened—we discover not everything is what is appears to be. And the truth is not painful, but healing.

My Review

Killer Christmas Evidence is another good mystery I have read by Sami A Abrams and, also, the fourth installment from the Deputies of Anderson County series. I liked this suspenseful book being centered around the holidays. It included action, danger romance, and adventure. I found it to be a quick read and had no issue having the whole book read in one sitting. I enjoyed getting away from every day life and spending time with the main characters, Cassidy and Kyle. 

I am giving Killer Christmas Evidence four and a half stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading clean romantic suspense. I am hoping there will be more to come from the Deputies of Anderson County series.

When I started to hear request for his story, I panicked. Authors don’t want to disappoint their readers. And being new to the published scene…Well, you get the picture. 😊

After the release of Buried Cold Case Secrets, many readers told me they wanted Keith’s story. In fact, the overwhelming response puzzled me. What had I done to create such a buzz about Jason’s partner? And of course, I had to ask why?

The general answer I received…Keith’s a nice guy and the perfect partner.

I have to admit, I got a little nervous since I had already written his story. And I worried if I’d done his character justice?

However, after writing Buried Cold Case Secrets, I knew Keith had to have his own story. He’s such a great guy and needed his happily ever after. So, I dove in and asked, what would happen if he made a huge mistake? Not just a physical one, but a heart one.

By the time I finished, I loved seeing Keith and Amy move past their poor choices and hurt to find acceptance and love. The perfect ending to Keith’s struggles.

All that to say, I hope you love Keith and Amy’s story as much as I do.  #TeamKeith

My Review

Twin Murder Mix Up is the second installment from the Deputies of Anderson County series by Sami A Abrams. I really enjoy the first book of the series, Buried Cold Case Secrets and was excited to have the opportunity to read this one. I thought it was a pretty read that mystery, action, adventure, suspense and romance. I could not predict what was going to happen next. I liked it and had no problem reading it in one sitting. 

Twin Murder Mix Up will be getting four and a half stars. I believe lovers of clean romantic suspense will want to read this one. I look forward to reading to book three from the Deputies of Anderson County series.

What writer doesn’t grow up reading every chance they get? That would be me.

Until my thirties, I hated to read. Then someone told me about Terri Blackstock, and I decided to give her books a try. I was hooked. I guess there’s something to finding the right genre. Romantic Suspense is it for me. Of course, that makes sense. I love CSI, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. Over the years, I have expanded my taste, but there’s just something about suspense that keeps me coming back.

A little over five years ago, I decided to start checking off some of the items on my bucket list. I learned how to rock climb and got my scuba certification, among other things. When I got to the item, writing a novel, I sat down and pounded it out. Check the box; I was done. Wrong. God had other plans and placed some amazing people in my life.

One of those plans was attending MurderCon, a conference for writers where they learn from experts about, you guessed it…murder. Actually, it’s about police procedures, crime scene analysis…the list goes on and on. One of the workshops I attended was with a forensic anthropologist, and the idea for Melanie Hutton and Buried Cold Case Secrets was born.

I loved writing Melanie’s story. She’s a fighter and refuses to let anything stand in her way, including the man, Jason Cooper, who blames her for her best friend’s death. Jason holds on to the past and his hatred toward Melanie, but he soon learns that if he puts aside his assumptions and listens, he’ll discover the truth about the day his sister died. Letting go of his anger and blame is tough for Jason, but when he does, he finds the life he’s always wanted.

I hope you enjoy reading Melanie and Jason’s story as much as I did writing it.

My Review

Buried Cold Case Secrets is the exciting debut by Sami A. Abrams. I thought it was pretty good. I enjoyed getting to know Melanie and Jason. I thought they had good chemistry together. I was wrapped up with their mystery and wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. I found it was not even close to being predictable. I had it all read in one sitting. It was great.

I am giving Buried Cold Case Secrets four and a half stars. I recommend it for reading who love reading clean Romantic Suspense. I would love to read to more by I recommend it for reading who love reading clean Romantic Suspense. I would love to read more by Samir A Abrams in the future.
