When Lorena graduated years ago with a BFA in Graphic Design and Painting, she never imagined she’d become an Information Architect in high-tech. She thought her creativity was lost until she was rescued by an Australian Shepherd named Phebe. Inspired by Phebe’s antics, Lorena started drawing again, leading to the creation of Phebe-n-Me, a t-shirt company that eventually blossomed into a children’s book!

My Review: 

How to Make a Sandwich is a fun and entertaining children's book from Lorena M Proia. I thought it was cute when Rae was trying to teaches her cat, Nero, on how to make a sandwich. At every step, something from her sandwich disappears. I could not help but to laugh and giggle every time each items vanishes. Rae finally has enough and gets angry at poor little Phebe. I thought it was a sweet little story with the lesson on the power of forgiveness. I loved it was great.

I love that not only is Lorena M Proia is a talented children's author, she is, also, a gifted artist. She beautifully illustrates How to Make a Sandwich with vivid and colorful pictures. I enjoyed the details of them on each page while reading Rae's story. It was fun seeing different items in the background of the pictures. They were a perfect addition to the book.

How to Make a Sandwich will be getting five stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers between the ages of three and eight years of age. I believe it would make a great placement on shelves of public and elementary school libraries. I would love to read more books from Lorena M Proia in the future.
