Book Description:

Every adoption experience is uniquely different but the yearning to have unconditional family love is universal. Two Indian sisters, Priya and Ari, experience what it's like to be adopted into a multi-cultural, interracial family. Walk alongside these two charming, dynamic girls as they journey through the adoption transition to a new country full of new experiences!

"Finding Family in a Far-Away Land" is a pensive and sometimes comical book that demonstrates how children can experience the same journey quite differently. A glossary of cultural terms is included so that all can learn and enjoy what Ari and Priya cherish about their Indian roots. This story is meant to be a resource to those hoping to learn about one family's adoption experience― and may even help a child process their own adoption story. The intended audience for this book is children ages 4-10.

FINDING FAMILY IN A FAR-AWAY LAND Book Tour Giveaway

 My Review:

Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story by Amanda Wall is a wonderful book for young readers. I like that the book covers multiple cultures across the globe. It shows how the two Indian sisters, Ari and Priya, are adopted and move to another country. It is beautiful to see how they adjust to their new family and home. There are some sweet scenes that will bring out a giggle or two, also. I loved it!

Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story, also, shows that not only can Amanda Wall write a wonderful book. She, also, proves that is a talented illustrator. Her pictures perfectly follow the story. Readers – young and old - will easily continue to be captivated and interested in it while looking at the vibrant and colorful pages.

Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of four and ten years old. Especially, for families who have adopted or thinking of adopting from other parts of the world. It would make a great addition to the local or school library and even in a little ones’ classroom for story time. I would love to read more like this one by Amanda Wall in the future.

I received a soft cover copy of Finding Family in a Far-Away Land: An Adoption Story from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
