Forgiveness
Salvation
I find The Passion of The Christ to be one of the most important movies to watch. It gives me a perspective of what Jesus endured on Good Friday. Not only does it show the crucifixion, it shows the recollections to other important events for Jesus. Such as, him being a child, his miracles, ministries and the Last Supper and Communion. Every time I watch this movie, I am brought to tears. It is heartbreaking to see the violence, pain and judgements he received. At times, it is hard to watch the most graphic scenes, but then remembered what the beautiful outcome will be and because of Him, my sins have washed away. I find it to be significant that after all He suffered, His courage and forgiveness is so powerful. I am reminded that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light. I, also, think of the Bible Verse:
“Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, “So! You who are going to destroy the temple and build it
in three days, come down from the cross and save yourself!” In the
same way the chief priests and the teachers of the law mocked him among themselves. “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save him self! Let this Messiah, this king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe.” Those crucified with him also heaped insults on him. –
Mark 15:29-32 (NIV)
