This is the story of my younger brother, Dr. Manu Dua, who battled oral cancer for almost two years.

Meet the Author:

​Dr. Manu Dua was a Canadian Dentist. He was born and brought up in Abu Dhabi, UAE. He moved to Canada in his teenage years, went to University of Calgary for Undergrad. He graduated with his DMD from the University of British Columbia and practiced Dentistry in Calgary, AB. He was a foodie, loved playing sports and had an optimistic view on life. He was kind, giving, and he would volunteer his services to the less fortunate which brought him much contentment. He had an infectious laugh and was a joy to be around with. He lived life in his own terms and was at the peak of his life when he was diagnosed with Oral Cancer.

He passed away in Canada at the age of 34. 

His book was printed posthumously. He is survived by his parents, sister, brother in law and nephews.

My Review: 

Life Interrupted: Dr. Dua’s Survival Guide is a collection blogs that was written by the gifted Dr Manu Dua. Even though he was diagnosed with cancer in his early thirties, he continued to find peace and accept his destiny. The words he had written were beautiful to read. The passion he had for life shined throughout the series. He showed that no matter what, there is always hope. There are about eighteen entries and are between one and four pages long. I loved each one of them but was mostly drawn to "On Finding Internal Peace". It just really spoke to me and understood what he was saying. I am not going to lie, I often had to keep a tissue handy while reading several of the blogs. I admired his bravery and courage to be able to use wisdom that will inspire many others for years to come. I am saddened of his passing but his legacy will go on.  

I am giving Life Interrupted: Dr. Dua’s Survival Guide a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who love to read inspiring memoirs. I believe anyone that have been faced with their hardest of times, will find peace and comfort by reading Dr Manu Dua's words.
