Review: Countdown by Lynette Eason

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

A stalker who wants to finish what he started. A US Marshal who's vowed to protect his charge. And one woman who is determined to put the past in the past.

Flight paramedic Raina Price has been running so long it's hard to stop. To escape a dangerous stalker, she changed her name and disappeared, building a new life with the help of a friend from her time in juvie. It feels good to put her energies into saving people's lives, but because her stalker was never found, she's never stopped looking over her shoulder. And one can only run so far before the past finally catches up.

US Marshal Vincent Corelli's job is to hunt down fugitives and protect those who are assigned to him. When Raina is almost killed right in front of him, he vows to protect her at all costs--whether it's his job or not. Together they work to solve the mystery of Raina's past. But someone is out to make sure Raina doesn't live long enough to do it.

Countdown is the breathless conclusion to USA Today bestselling author Lynette Eason's thrilling Extreme Measures series.

My Review:

I had the pleasure of reading the first three books from Lynette Eason’s Extreme Measures series. I was happy to have the chance to read book four, Countdown. It is by far my favorite of this series. I thought it was a fabulous read. It is one of those books that grabs my attention right from the start and lasts until the very last page has been read. It is full of twists, turns, danger, action, suspense, and adventure.

I am giving Countdown a very well deserved five plus stars. I believe fans of clean romantic suspense will definitely want to read it. As always, I will be looking for more books by Lynette Eason to release in the near future.

I received a paperback copy of Lynette Eason’s Countdown from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.

Review: Collateral Damage by Lynette Eason

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blurb:

Honorably discharged from the Army after an explosion nearly killed her, former military psychiatrist Brooke Adams has set up shop to help others--but her days of helping military personnel are over. She's got her own battles to fight from her time overseas, and she's not equipped to take on more. Former Army Special Ops Sergeant First Class Asher James could handle anything that war sent his way--terrorists, bombs, bullets. The only thing that scares him now is sleep. As the shadows close in, the nightmares begin.

Finally convinced that he needs help, Asher makes an appointment with a counselor, and Brooke is pressed by her boss to take him on. When he arrives at her office she isn't there--but a dead body is. Brooke is devastated when she walks in, and Asher is a conveniently strong shoulder to cry on. But she can't take him on as a client after sharing such an intimate and unprofessional moment, can she? And he's not sure he can handle sharing his deepest fears with such a beautiful woman.

When it becomes clear that Brooke was the real target of the attack--and that her secrets go even deeper than his own--Asher vows to protect her no matter what.

My Review:

I have enjoyed previous books written by Lynnette Eason in the past and Collateral Damage is by far my favorite I have read by her to date. It is a fabulous beginning to her new series, Danger Never Sleeps. This suspense filled tale is one that made me not want to put it down until I had the whole book read in one sitting. Which was time well spent.

Collateral Damage gets five plus stars from me. I look forward to reading the next installment from the Danger Never Sleeps series. I can not wait for its release.

Review: The Cost of Betrayal by Dee Henderson/Dani Pettrey/Lynette Eason

Blurb (from Amazon):

In Dee Henderson's novella "Betrayed," Janelle Roberts is freed--thanks to people she doesn't know--after serving six years of a twenty-year sentence for a murder she did not commit. But a murderer is still at large, and Janelle needs to be somewhere safe with someone she can trust. She may not survive another betrayal.

In Dani Pettrey's "Deadly Isle," Tennyson Kent is trapped on the isolated island of her childhood by a storm surge, and she is shocked when the typically idyllic community turns into the hunting grounds of a murderer. Cut off from any help from the mainland, will she and first love Callen Frost be able to identify and stop a killer bent on betrayal before they become the next victims?

In Lynette Eason's "Code of Ethics," trauma surgeon Ruthie St. John saves the life of Detective Isaac Martinez. After a betrayal leads to him getting shot and then attacked while in recovery, Isaac is now a key witness determined to testify. But someone is intent on silencing him--and those around him--forever. Together, Ruthie and Isaac go on the run, desperate to escape the killers hunting him.

My Review:

The Cost of Betrayal is a collection of three suspense filled stories by three fabulous suspense writers. These stories include:
Betrayal by Dee Henderson - Janelle is wrongly convicted, newly released and on the run.
Deadly Isle by Dani Pettrey - Tennyson and Callen finds themselves isolated on an island with a murderer.

Review: Oath of Honor (Blue Justice #1) by Lynette Eason

Blurb (from Amazon):

Police officer Isabelle St. John loves her crazy, loud, law-enforcement family. With three brothers and two sisters, she's never without someone to hang out with--or fight with. And she knows they'll be there for her when things get tough. Like when her partner is murdered and she barely escapes with her own life.

Determined to discover exactly what happened, Izzy's investigation sends her headfirst into a criminal organization, possibly with cops on the payroll--including someone from her own family. With her dead partner's handsome homicide detective brother Ryan shadowing her every move, Izzy's head is spinning. How can she secure justice for her partner when doing so could mean sending someone she loves to prison?
