Elyse Douglas is the pen name for the married writing team Elyse Parmentier and Douglas Pennington. Elyse grew up near the sea, roaming the beaches, reading and writing stories and poetry, receiving a master’s degree in English Literature. She has enjoyed careers as an English teacher, an actress and a speech-language pathologist. Douglas has worked as a graphic designer, a corporate manager and an equities trader. He attended the Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music and played the piano professionally for many years.

My Review

City of Deadly Dreams: A Mystery gives me another reason why I love reading books by Elyse Douglas. I love that she tackled something new in her writing. I have enjoyed her other releases, and this one is no different. I thought it was great. It is full of intrigue, mystery, suspense and romance. Dane and Darcy make a great team. They were fun and entertaining with some few moments that made me giggle. They get into some danger that made want to see what would happen next. So very good. 

I am giving City of Deadly Dreams: A Mystery a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for readers who enjoy reading romantic suspense. As always, I look forward to reading more by Elyse Douglas in the future.
