The Black Shuck’s forces gather just beyond the mist . . .

Captain Justice Kasric knows how complicated family can be. The escalating Human-Faerie war has scattered and wounded her siblings and transformed her parents beyond recognition. After narrowly escaping yet another dangerous clash, fifteen-year-old Justice has had enough. She’s determined to defeat the Black Shuck, the mysterious leader controlling the Faerie invasion of London, but if Justice hopes to stand a chance at victory, she’ll have to do the impossible: reunite her family and lead them against the looming Faerie Armada.

With her mother and brother at the helm of the enemy fleet, and the prophesized Seven Virtues slipping out of reach, Justice more than has her work cut out for her. Even if she can save England, the cost may be higher than she’s willing to pay.

My Review:

Shadows Over London is a pretty good start to Christian Klaver’s new series, Empire of the House of Thorns. It was a great introduction to the talents from this author and after reading this, it will not be my last. It was fun and exciting to meet the brave teenager girl, Justice. She is one that is much wiser than her years. I wanted to keep reading her story to see how she would be able to overcome what she was facing. Even though, this is not my normal go to genre, I thought it was a really good book to read and made me curious to keep reading more about Justice in upcoming releases. It was nice to take a journey to her world and taking a break from the stresses of every day life. Overall, it was a great book to read.

I am giving Shadows Over London four stars. I believe fans of young adult, teen science fiction, fantasy and paranormal fiction will definitely want to give this one a try. It is worth a read and not one to be missed. I am looking forward to the next installment from the Empire of the House of Thorns series, Justice at Sea, to see what happens next with the characters in this series, as well as, catching up on other releases b Christian Klaver.

I received a digital copy of Shadows Over London from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion

Justice at Sea is the second installment from the Empire of the House of Thorns series by Christian Klaver. I really enjoyed reading the first book, Shadows Over London, and was excited to have the opportunity to read to see what is coming for Justice this time. I was in no way disappointed. I loved the first book, but enjoyed this one even more. I realized that since this is a series, it would be best for readers to begin with the first book to make it a better experience in continuing Justice’s story and not be missing out on what occurred previously. It was entertaining to see what was happening with Justice now and how she would deal with the complications she faces. The plot was a fast paced one that put me yet on another thrilling adventure.

Justice at Sea will be getting four and a half stars from me. Teens who love reading magical and fantastical tales will want to read this one, as well as, book one in the series, Shadows Over London. I am eagerly awaiting for the release of book three from the Empire of the House of Thorns series, Armadas in the Mist. I can not wait to see what Christian Klaver has in store for his readers.

I have had the pleasure in reading the previous two books from the Empire of the House of Thorns series, Shadows Over London and Justice at Sea. I was excited to continue the series in the newest release, Armadas in the Mist. I was in no way disappointed. This one was by far my favorite of this series to date. Christian Klaver’s talent shines throughout the book. It was great catching up with the Justice to see what journey she goes on this time around. The story leads her to danger, action and adventure. It was exciting to see if she will save England. I admired her bravery, courage and determination. The plot is not predictable, making me to want to keep reading and not want to put it down. I loved it.

I am giving Armadas in the Mist five stars. Lovers of science fiction, fantasy fiction, and young adult for teens will want to snatch this one up, as well as, the other books from the Empire of the House of Thorns series. I am hoping that Christian Klaver will be continuing this series so I can catch up with the characters in the future. In the meantime, I will be looking for more books by this talented author to see what other adventures awaits for his readers.
