Meet the Author:

Wagner grew up in Southern California. When he was 14-years old, a business friend of his father’s had a small Christmas tree delivered as a thank you. Their family already had a large tree decorated in the house. Not being able to find anyone who needed a tree, that small Christmas tree stood outside by itself for the remainder of the Christmas holiday.

My Review:

Needles, The Forgotten Christmas Tree is a cute little story dreams, following your heart and finding the beauty within yourself. Richard Wagner has written a heartwarming tale with the spirit of Christmas. Needles worries about what others think and what they say. I see myself in Needles and how they are feeling insecure. I love the determination and courage to embrace themselves and displaying hope that we all need in our lives. I just loved loved loved this story so much and enjoyed reading it with my two children. It is most definitely worth a read and not to be missed.

Needles, The Forgotten Christmas Tree is beautifully illustrated by the talented artist, Sydni Kruger. The pictures perfectly goes along with the text on each page. They are visual appealing and will keep younger eyes’ attention while reading the book.

Needles, The Forgotten Christmas Tree will be getting a very well deserved five plus stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers who are between the ages of three and eight. It would be a great addition to annual Christmas time reading. It would make a wonderful addition to public and children’s libraries. I would love to read more by Richard Wagner in the future to see where else he takes his readers to next.

I received a hard cover copy of Needles, The Forgotten Christmas Tree from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
