Kristin “KJ” James was born and raised in the Nashville, TN area. Acting has always been a passion of hers. Starting on the stage as early as preschool, KJ pursued her passion into college where she received a BA in Communication with a double emphasis in Theatre and Public Relations from Mississippi State University. After college she found herself more and more drawn to voice overs. Several classes, coaching sessions, seminars, research, and a closet-turned-studio later, and she now records and produces audiobooks on a regular basis. She has also done several radio commercials for clients such as Advance Financial, TriStar Health, and GAC. Her ultimate dream is to work in video games and animation, so hopefully in the not-too-distant future you'll hear her in an RPG or cartoon. The Haunting of Hillwood Farm is my first introduction to Kathryn Knight’s writing. I now want more of her work. I enjoyed this creepy, mysterious, suspenseful and romantic book. I enjoyed the concept of Callie and her talent of speaking to those from beyond the grave. I loved it when she met Luke, the grandson of Alice Turner, whom she is trying to help. Luke does not believe in her abilities, but the chemistry between the two is undeniable. They soon find out the danger they are in.
I give The Haunting of Hillwood Farm four stars. I had the pleasure of listening to the audio version of this book and enjoyed the performance of the narrator, Kristin James. She did an amazing job bringing this story to life. I can not wait to hear more by her, as well as, reading more books by this author. This one is most definitely worth a read.
