About Amy Turner

Amy Turner was born in Bronxville, New York, and is a graduate of Boston University, with a degree in political science, and of New York Law School, with a Juris Doctor Degree. After practicing law (rather unhappily) for twenty-two years, she finally found the courage to change careers at forty-eight and become a (very happy) seventh grade social studies teacher. A long-time meditator and avid reader who loves to swim and bike, Amy lives in East Hampton, New York, with her husband, Ed, to whom she’s been married for forty years. They have two sons. My Review

 

On the Ledge: A Memoir is a well written true story by Amy Turner. I loved her bravery for writing about herself and what she has gone through in her life and what path she chose to take. So many events had tested her and I admire how she was able to find herself. As a person that has to find some way to have a laugh to get through the day, I enjoyed the humor sprinkled throughout the book. 

I am giving On the Ledge: A Memoir five plus stars. Readers who enjoy reading inspirational memoirs and learning how others were able to deal with has been thrown at them in life. Amy Turner is a masterful storyteller that I would love to read more by her in the future. 

I received a paperback copy of On the Ledge: A Memoir from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
