Meet the Author:

Yobe is an educator, entrepreneur and mom who lives in NYC. As an educator, she focused on teaching families to embrace love, diversity and different cultures. Through the years working in the classrooms and closely with other educators, she noticed the lack of multi-cultural resources that represented children of color. That is when Yobe decided to create multicultural children stories that feature Asian children, families and cultures! Yobe loves spending time with her daughter, reading to children and taking long walks during the day!

Blog Tour:

Our Moon Festival: Celebrating the Moon Festival in Asian Communities is a wonderful book for young readers by Yobe Qiu. I found it be a fun and entertaining book to read on learnig about different cultures. I love that it teaches some wonderful life lessons that so many – young or old – could learn from. I thought this was a beautiful and inspiring tale that helps everyone learn to embrace themselves. I am sure many will enjoy reading it over and over again.

Our Moon Festival: Celebrating the Moon Festival in Asian Communities is illustrated by the talents of Christina Nel Lopez. The pictures perfectly follow the story and so vibrant and colorful that hard not to capture one’s eye. The younger readers will be captivated and be able to hold their attention and continue reading to find out what happens all the way to the end.

Our Moon Festival: Celebrating the Moon Festival in Asian Communities is getting a very well deserved five plus stars. I highly recommend it for young readers who are between the ages of four and nine. I look forward to reading more books like this from Yobe Qiu in the future. This would make a great gift and a wonderful addition to the local or school library and even in a little ones’ classroom for story time. My little one’s elementary school will be so excited when we donate our copy to them.

I received a hard cover copy of Our Moon Festival: Celebrating the Moon Festival in Asian Communities from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
