My Review
The Adventures of Wilhelm, A Rat’s Tale is a cute little
story by Maria Ritter. Wilhelm decides to leave his home in California and
discover other areas of the globe. He learns more about others and educates
himself on their way of life. These adventures make him conquer his fears,
anxiety and realize what is most important thing is in life.
I enjoyed the delightful and inspiring The Adventures of
Wilhelm, A Rat’s Tale. I love the lessons young readers to learn from. Such as,
it really is okay to be different and still have overwhelming respect for others
around you. It was fun to follow his travels, adventures, and what he discovers
by going from the United States to Europe to Asia. I love how the author was able
describe the culture, locals and cuisine of each country, as well as, the
surroundings of the areas he traveled to. Which includes: The Coliseum in Rome,
Italy and China’s Great Wall of China.
I am giving The Adventures of Wilhelm, A Rat’s Tale four and
a half stars. I enjoyed reading it with my two children. We learned a lot from
Wilhelm and I think they found him to be inspiring. We are planning on donating
our copy to the school library so other children can experience Wilhelm’s
tales, adventures, and travels. I look forward to more books like this one in
the future by Maria Ritter. She obviously has talent of creating wonderful
stories that children will love. I definitely recommend this one.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100%
my own honest opinion.
Sounds like a fun read, love the cover.
