Everyone has had a first love. The one they had new experiences with and the one they can’t forget. Whether it be the boy next door, a loyal princess, or a supernatural being, all of these stories have two things in common: love at first sight and elements of fantasy.
Featuring stories by Meg Boepple, Sofi Laporte, Kathryn St. John, Zoey Xolton, Melinda Kucsera, A.R. Johnston, Simon Dillon, A.M. Cummins, Edeline Wrigh, D.S. Durden, A.D. Carter, and Galina Trefil.

Drew took a steadying breath before hauling his rifle up to take aim. The war cries from the red skin were louder now and he could see his attacker had brown eyes. His hands shook. If he didn’t shoot soon, the man would be close enough to wrestle him to the ground and overpower him with the knife. He squinted his eyes, blew out one last breath, and pulled the trigger.

Good Morning! Thanks for sharing on your blog. I do crochet and occasionally knit, but have never heard of locker hooks. I must look into this after I stop back by this afternoon (work calls).
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteThis is a terrific anthology with a load of really interesting, eclectic stories. Well, I would say that, since I wrote one of them (Papercut) but seriously, whether you fancy reading about the dreamscapes of the religiously oppressed, or love stories involving forest nymphs, mages, selkies, Native American mythology, or, as one of my fellow writers pitched her story to me, “Bridget Jones meets Morgana Le Fay”, this is a must for those who like their romance with a fantastical twist.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, my story Papercut is about a lonely teenage boy living with his overbearing Jehovah's Witness mother. One day a mysterious girl made entirely of paper appears in his dreams and... you'll have to read the story to find out more.
Sounds like a good read.
ReplyDeleteAlways fun to hear about another new great book. Thanks for sharing!
