My Review:

Gallant: The Call of The Trail is another great book I have read by Claire Eckard. Even though, this book is written for younger readers, I really enjoyed it. I thought the author’s writing style to be a little  unique and easy to read.  I adored the relationship between Gallant and Gracie. They have such a sweet and trusting bond. It was heartwarming to their unconditional love. I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen between this perfect team. It had in tears at times and smiling at others. It was so easy to keep turning the pages to find out what the author had in store for each chapter. What wonderful tale to read between a girl and her beautiful horse.

I loved the drawings that are sprinkled in throughout Gallant: The Call of The Trail by the talented Phylicia Mann. I thought they were a great way to visualize the story and enjoyed seeing them on the pages. I found the illustrations to be a great addition to the story.

I am giving Gallant: The Call of The Trail very well deserved five plus stars. I recommend it for readers who are between the ages of twelve and up. I will definitely be keeping my eye for more books like this one by Claire Eckard in the future. I can not wait to gift my copy to my horse loving twelve year old daughter and find out what she thinks after she reads it. To me, it is most definitely worth read and not to be missed.

I received a paperback copy of Gallant: The Call of The Trail from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
