Book Description:

Every caregiver knows the trials of feeding a picky eater. Some nights are truly a battle. Nerves are frayed, and a pleasant, relaxing dinner can quickly be filled with tears, tantrums, and some nights, a battle of wills. Well, my goal with this book is to tip the scales in our favor. One surefire way I've discovered to get my picky eaters to eat is to let them help make the meal. After all, food tastes better when you've had a hand in fixing it. Let your child try their hand with the recipes in this book. A child who becomes the superhero of dinnertime is one who eats super well.

Meet the Author:

I am a wife, mother of two kids, a lover of comic books, and a home cook. I believe in making mealtime an enjoyable experience through joint cooking and kid-friendly meals. I also believe kids that help with the cooking process are more likely to eat their meals, which leads to a happy, peaceful dining experience. Be a Superhero in the Kitchen is my first children’s cookbook, but I strive to publish more.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?

My favorite movie franchise is Jurassic World. No matter which one the movies come on the screen, I immediately veg out and watch it. I've lost count of how many times I have viewed them. Trust me, it's a lot. With that being said, you can probably surmise which period in time I would travel to then.

Would I be scared to encounter any dinosaur? HECK YEAH! We've all seen the movies; we know what happens. But, I think it would be wicked cool to see a real brachiosaurus, stegosaurus, protoceratops, or any other herbivore dinosaur.

I'll most definitely do my best to steer clear of any dino who might see me as an appetizer or MAIN MEAL. EEK!

My Review:

Be a Superhero in the Kitchen: A Children’s Cookbook is a perfect way for parents to spend some quality time with their children. It includes around twenty recipes. These recipes are extremely easy with minimal ingredients. The instructions can be followed with no difficulty for children. I like how each one of the recipes include an excellent tip to follow.

My children and I have had several snow days that we need to find something fun to do to pass the time. Be a Superhero in the Kitchen: A Children’s Cookbook was an instant hit in our house when wanted to use it. So, we decided to make the Beef Stew one day and the Mega Mac and Cheese Pizza the next. They were both delicious. We are hoping to try the Boomtastic Butter Cookies next. I am pretty sure we will not be disappointed.

Be a Superhero in the Kitchen: A Children’s Cookbook has fun and entertaining illustrations. They are by the talents of Alejandro Chamberlain. The pictures perfectly go with the recipes. I love that the illustrations includes diversity with different ethnicities and disabilities.

Be a Superhero in the Kitchen: A Children’s Cookbook gets a very well deserved five plus stars from me. I highly recommend it for readers who have children that are twelve years old or younger. I know my children and I would love to see more cookbooks like this by Donna Glass in the future.

I received Be a Superhero in the Kitchen: A Children’s Cookbook from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
